More aid or no aid, Africa must wake up and realize its potentials. It is defeating therefore, for anyone to think that with more aid Africa will be better, it is eaqually defeating to think that without aid Africa will be worse. What Africa needs is leaders whose conscious's are not yet dead, leaders who will be able to see what any one else sees, yet anyone without thinking continues to see the same thing year in year round, thus leaders who will bring reason and thought where we all see but do not ''see". these leaders are not in the older generation because they have all failed us, these crop of leaders, must now raise among young people, give hope to their peers that all is not lost, raise up to the challenge as a young generation, not to outdo the older generation but to correct the ills that have bedevilled our continent. We need not to remininsce about the past, the question rather is what is the future holding for us? what is the world of technology holding for us? what are the strengths that we have, and how can we actualize them for the benefit of our people, what policies do we have, how can they be internalized in the people's lives, how can the people share in their leaders vision and how can the leaders share in their people's vision. Failure to do this, we will request and request for more aid, but we shall continue to engage in corruption, steal from our right pockets and put in our left pockets, then seat and watch thinking that we have it all. While our people die of hunger and starvation, while floods sweep people homes, and all the ills name them, and we shall think we are cursed but no no no...the solution is in the youths, the solution is the young to realize there is a future, and they have the potentials that once actualized Africa will never be the same again
