My answer to Victor’s dissatisfaction
Hi Victor.
First think you are right to express your frustration and I am happy you did it in the forum such that every body will be aware of your discontent. But at the same time that’s rough; harsh.
It is to your honour to be harsh, but you need to know the reality of the steering committee before taking any hasty conclusion.
Second, we have not decided to cut off from others, we have just formed as it shall be a steering committee body where we can work easily and more efficiently without receiving tones of mails that some times bring us hundred of thousands miles back.
We are conscious of our challenges, of the slump of our elders and we are doing everything possible to avoid failing into the same slumps.
Thirdly as you says “we all appear very unclear…” you and I also “…on why we were facilitated to meet in Addis Ababa last year 2008”.
It is the sad reality victor, we still blind on what to steer even though we are multiplying initiatives (action plan; year plan, terms of references, compendium …) we don’t know exactly what the DAC; DCA expect from us and how they planned their initiatives (AYP).
It is very important to us to know exactly what are they expecting us to do what is their vision of the steering committee so that we can lined on.
So I really appeal the DCA to give us more insight and support.
Finally victor, what ever the difficulty, I can ensure you that we will deliver. So please guys don’t take hasty conclusion; you will be updated on the steering committee activities or action plan as soon as we will draft it all.
