Elections and Youth Manifesto

Poverty among youth is high and while young people are speaking, little efforts are being made to listen to what the youth are saying. National elections can give the youth an opportunity to influence policies and systems in the next government. The youth are a majority hence have greater influence in national elections. No wonder the majority that voted for Obama were the youth – Oh yes we can! Election can be an opportune time to engage the would be next government to start prioritizing the youth and listen to the voice of the youth. How can this happen? Get organised and create a youth manifesto which would guide young people in choosing the next government. Engage main political party leadership of the country to discuss what they will offer to the young people. I can assure you, everybody will be keen to listen us – Why? Its election time.
